On-Demand Training: ESD Tax Primer

Description

SAFE-D Executive Director Clay Avery introduces some of the key concepts and methods for calculating and setting an ad valorem tax rate for Texas ESDs.

This isn’t legal advice – districts will need to consult their own counsel for that – but it’s an introduction into the important concepts ESD commissioners must consider in the property tax-setting process. 

Cost is only $75/representative of SAFE-D member ESD or affiliated services provider; $125/nonmember. Texas A&M's V.G. Young Institute of County Government has certified this online training for one hour of ESD Commissioner Training Credit.
